  • Course Description:  This course will emphasize the individual as decision-maker and focus upon ethical issues and dilemmas facing managers in most business organizations.  The specific objectives of the course are to raise students’ general awareness of ethical dilemmas at work, to place ethical issues within a management context subject to analysis and decision-making action, and to enhance and improve the ability of students to reason toward a satisfactory resolution of an ethical dilemma.

Students will learn the basis of our economic environment, and business operations including government in our global economy and small business management. The course combines concepts with practical applications to real world situations.

  • Course Description:  

    This course introduces the practices and principles of interpersonal communication in both dyadic and group settings. Emphasis is on the communication process; issues addressed include perception, listening, self-disclosure, speech apprehension, ethics, nonverbal communication, conflict, power, and dysfunctional communication. Upon completion, students should be able to demonstrate interpersonal communication skills, apply basic principles of group discussion, and manage conflict in interpersonal communication situations.

    This course provides a general overview of basic coaching principles, sports first aid, player relationships, team building, and preparing the player's mental approach to performance. This course is delivered entirely online.

    • Develop the capacities and qualities of coaching and working with athletes 
    •  Teach skills and characteristics that make a champion-such as high self-esteem, courage, fortitude, determination, perseverance, tenacity, self-awareness, and integrity
